Helle
Norwegian heritage since 1932. Where Scandinavian tradition meets modern performance.
The Story
In the remote village of Holmedal on Norway’s western fjords, the Helle brothers began forging knives in 1932. What started as a family craft has become one of Scandinavia’s most respected knife makers, now in its third generation. Every Helle knife is still made by hand using traditional methods — triple-laminated stainless steel blades, natural materials like curly birch and reindeer antler, and leather sheaths crafted by local artisans. Their collaboration with survival expert Les Stroud (Survivorman) brought global attention, but Helle’s true legacy lies in their commitment to preserving the Scandinavian knife-making tradition while creating tools that perform in the harshest conditions on earth.
